Frequently Asked Questions
- What is different about your Church?
We trust God completely, to provide salvation for us through His only Begotten son Jesus. Not because we can earn it or deserve it with anything we do, but because He loves us and loves to save us and keep us by his Grace.Back to top
- What is different about your Church?
We believe we can live in true liberty when we love God with all of our heart, and mind and strength and follow His directions for a good life in Messiah (Christ) Jesus.Back to top
- Why do you meet on a Wednesday night?
We believe that as a training and equiping ministry we wanted to meet an evening during the week to facility times of healing and personal ministry after the service and to have time during the week to hang out and go out to eat and fellowship together.Back to top
- What is your Doctrine?
Well, our doctrine is very similar to what most churches post on their sites. We follow the creeds of the early church but we feel that doctrine is not something to be 'nailed' down because we as humans are constantly discovering God. God is vast. Even the very fingerprint of God that we find in Biology, Astronomy, Medicine, Plants, Animals and so on is so vastly complicated and we learn news things every day. To say that we have completely figured God Himself out we feel is a bit......presumptuous.
Some of the things that make us distinct are:
1. We hold to the belief that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are alive and well today in the church and that every believer is not only entitled to them but it is the expressed purpose of why Christ died for us. Jesus died so that we could be cleansed SO THAT the Holy Spirit could dwell within us.
2. The Character of God, as laid out in the Bible, is the backbone on which we build all other doctrines.
3. Because we fundamentally hold to the idea that God, first and foremost, is Good and full of Mercy and Grace. We DO NOT believe that any human will be tormented in the fires of hell in conscious, separated torment. We believe that this false doctrine has be perpetrated on the Church by Greek Philosophy, Dantes Inferno poetry and misguided pre-reformation Catholic zealots. We believe that the Bible is very clear on the issue and by even a basic understanding and without years of false indoctrinization any reasonable believer would conclude that Jesus is the way to eternal life and apart from him MORTAL men perish. John 3:16. There is no eternal life apart from Christ, which includes bad eternal life. Back to top
