About Us
 Welcome to Zion Springs

Zion Springs is both our prophetic name as a church and our mission.

The word 'Zion' is mysterious and has its foundation from a Hebrew root tsahah, "to be dry or parched". It is know as the city of God throughout the Old Testament and is a symbol of the Church, the Holy place of God.

We believe the Lord led us to the name of the church by saying "I have called you to be a Spring of living water in a dry and parched land". It is our hope and heart to be a church and a community of believers that do not simply gather to worship to live the way of Jesus.

We are called to the over-churched, under-churched and done with church, to a group of people looking for the real Jesus and real answers to the real problems of our world. We consider ourselves to be seeker sensitive in as much as we are sensitive to the fact that seekers are looking for the REALITY of CHRIST and the POWER of His Gospel.

Every Saturday we gather to worship our creator and savior from the bondage of the things that bind us. We then receive teaching to enable us to do the Work of the Ministry not simply to equip us to bring more people to church.

At Zion Springs it is our mandate to make disciples of Jesus Christ and His way of life which is the Kingdom of God. We are in existence to equip believers to expand the Kingdom of God in their lives and in their world.

Our vision is to become a training centre for many believers and ministries. We see that the future of the church must be a place of learning from a multiplicity of teachers at various times rather then a single person at a single time. We believe that its is vital to the growth of disciples to be able to ask questions and through open discussion learn then to put into practice the things they have learned.

"To say prayers in a decent, delicate way is not heavy work. But to pray really, to pray till hell feels the ponderous stroke, to pray till the iron gates of difficulty are opened, till the mountains of obstacles are removed, till the mists are exhaled and the clouds are lifted, and the sunshine of a cloudless day brightens-this is hard work, but it is God's work, and man's best labor."

- E. M. Bounds

William Bramwell is famous in Methodist annals for personal holiness and for his wonderful success in preaching and for the marvelous answers to his prayers. For hours at a time he would pray. He almost lived on his knees. He went over his circuits like a flame of fire. The fire was kindled by the time he spent in prayer. He often spent as much as four hours in a single season of prayer in retirement.

Bishop Andrews spent the greatest part of five hours every day in prayer and devotion.

Sir Henry Havelock always spent the first two hours of each day alone with God. If the encampment was struck at 6 A.M., he would rise at four.
